A Poem

Why do you hate me?
Your tongue spews venom that scourches my soul.

Your eyes dance with a fire
that burns away my light.

We once danced in the moonlight;
now we dance on the shards of broken dreams.

What irrevocable evil have I committed against you?
Your hands betray your hidden disgust.

Such words you pierce me with:
words that rot away my heart.

We once laughed till the dawn of a new day;
now we hold each other in bricks of ice.

  1. Love to hot vs. cold, and light vs. dark concept. This flows together beautifully.
